About Us

Dreams Ignited was founded by Joe and Taryn Tharakan on October 2, 2026.

Joe got into Virtual Reality in 2015 and was hooked on the technology behind it. He's an avid learner and during the COVID lockdown dedicated his time to mastering the ins and outs of VR. Over the past decade he has produced hundreds of VR videos, mostly as a hobby, to help friends showcase properties or help them create training simulations.

In 2024, Joe visited his 90-year-old grandmother in India and filmed a VR video with her on her front porch, where she left messages for her nine children and her grandchildren. Back home, he edited, stitched and rendered the footage so it could be played on a VR headset. His grandmother is no longer with us, but being able to put on a headset, be transported back to her porch and hear her speak to them is priceless to the family.
